Most Common Questions
The NTC Summer Academy is open to rising high school seniors who maintain above a 3.2 GPA. If you are a younger student, please check out our Pre-College Programs at summer@tulane.edu.
Students can apply through our online application! The application will open in the spring, and we will require the following: A copy of your transcript (official or unofficial), a recommendation letter from your college counselor, and you have the option to submit a second recommendation and any relevant coursework. Students will apply to specific courses.
NTC Summer Academy students are able to earn a maximum of 8 credit hours, which is no more than two courses.
Please consult the summer calendar before your drop your course. This is where you will find drop dates and their corresponding refunds. Once you have made the decision to drop, please contact the Summer School office. A staff member will assist you from there.
There are two 5- week sessions within the NTC Summer Academy: Early Summer and Late Summer. Students can choose to take courses in one of the sessions or both.
Tuition is $1,141 per credit hour. For additional fees, please visit our Tuition and Fees page.
Course registration and access to academic facilities, including libraries and laboratories, are included with tuition. Course fees, supplies and textbooks are assessed separately. Housing, dining services and membership to the Reily Recreation Center are available for an additional cost. Some special programs may include room and board in the cost of the program.
Fees are dependent on the course selection, as students may be charged a laboratory or other supplemental fees per course. These fees are calculated to cover the costs of materials and supplies used in the course and are established by the department faculty offering the course. Any applicable course fees are listed on the Schedule of Classes.
Students must log in to Gibson Online to view bills and current activity, make payments, authorize others to have access, or to request paper statements if required. Charges will appear on your student account within a month of your . Payments are due by the last business day in the following calendar month unless otherwise noted. Late fees will apply after this date. New tuition and fees charges, or adjustments, may be added on a daily basis based on registration during the add/drop period after semester billing has begun.
Unfortunately we do not have any financial aid available for the NTC Summer Academy.
NTC Summer Academy 2021 is virtual, so housing will be unavailable.
Wavebuck$ and Nolabuck$ are available for purchase in the summer and can be used on Tulane’s campus, at Loyola and at participating restaurants and providers off-campus. A complete list of options and instructions for purchasing Wavebuck$ and Nolabuck$ are available on the Dining Services website.
Yes! Your student will need to fill out their application, and be sure to submit the Tuition Waiver through the HR website.
The Tulane University Registrar's Office maintains the official records & transcripts for Tulane University. NTC Summer Academy alumni may order electronic and/or mailed transcripts through the Order a Transcript page on the registrar's website.
